ACTA Foundation

The ACTA Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of creative efforts in adult catechesis. We hope that you found our site because you are committed as we are to discovering fresh approaches to adult catechesis, which integrate Christian doctrine with formation in Christian living.

We believe adults of all ages:

We invite you to share your ideas and best practices with us and to submit proposals to be considered for an ACTA Foundation grant.

Our History

The ACTA Foundation was founded in 1957 by five priests of the Archdiocese of Chicago who were committed to fostering new initiatives in adult catechesis. Their pastoral vision began in 1951 and today supports new efforts in the spirit of the founders.

What We Do

The ACTA Foundation's mission is not to produce programs or strategies for catechesis but to encourage and promote these efforts more broadly and to support them through its grant potential.
